Drilled Shafts & Caissons
Drilling for commercial, industrial, and structural foundations, including straight-shaft caissons and drilled piers to the dimensions and requirements shown in the project documents.
Temporary Casing
Temporary casing installation for ground conditions where unsupported excavations may not remain stable. Casing requirements are evaluated according to the conditions encountered and the project scope.
Rock Drilling & Coring
Specialized drilling through rock and hard formations where conventional augering is insufficient. Rock drilling methods depend on formation characteristics, required penetration, and available tooling.
Rebar Cage Installation
Coordination, handling, and placement of reinforcing steel cages for drilled foundations, with attention to alignment, cover, and the requirements of the approved foundation plans.
Concrete Placement
Concrete placement for drilled piers and caissons when included in our contracted scope, coordinated with drilling operations, reinforcement installation, and site requirements.
Monopole & Tower Foundations
Drilled foundation work for monopole structures and telecommunications infrastructure, including coordination around pier dimensions, reinforcement, anchor bolt assemblies, and foundation installation requirements.

Field Conditions / Drilling Decisions
The Plan Is on Paper. The Decisions Happen in the Ground.
A geotechnical report helps establish expectations. Actual drilling tells us what we're dealing with. The difference between a productive day and a costly delay often comes down to how quickly the conditions are recognized, communicated, and addressed.
When Groundwater Shows Up
Water can affect hole stability, excavation methods, and concrete placement planning. We evaluate what the hole is doing and coordinate the appropriate drilling response with the project's requirements.
When the Hole Won't Stand Open
Loose or unstable material can require a different approach than dry, self-supporting ground. Temporary casing may be needed to maintain the excavation and allow the work to proceed safely.
When Rock Changes Production
Hard formations can change tooling, drilling rates, and the time needed to reach the specified elevation or socket. Identifying that transition early helps the project team make informed schedule decisions.
When Site Access Is the Challenge
Working room, overhead restrictions, equipment access, and crane coordination can all affect how the foundation work is sequenced. We review those limitations before mobilization whenever possible.
Drawings, boring logs, site access details, and foundation schedules give us a stronger starting point before equipment arrives.

Perez Drilling operates small, mid-size, and large foundation drilling rigs. Different machines and tooling allow us to match the equipment to the foundation requirements, available working area, and ground conditions.
SMALL-DIAMETER & LIMITED ACCESS
Smaller drilling rigs for residential additions, lighter structural foundations, and sites where equipment size and maneuverability matter.
COMMERCIAL FOUNDATION DRILLING
Equipment suited to a range of commercial caisson applications, structural foundations, and projects requiring flexibility in setup and drilling operations.
LARGE-DIAMETER & DEEP FOUNDATIONS
Larger foundation rigs for substantial drilled shafts, deeper foundations, and work requiring greater drilling capacity and specialized support equipment.
MORE THAN THE DRILL RIG
Earth augers, rock augers, core barrels, drilling buckets, casing equipment, and other project-specific tooling support the methods required for varying ground conditions.
Rig and tooling selection is based on diameter, depth, soil and rock conditions, access, working platform capacity, and project-specific requirements.
